About
Aishwarya (Ash) is an Indian product designer, brand strategist, and educator based in San Francisco. She is on a mission to transform products and organisations through strategic insights, user-centered design, and a sharp eye for visuals. Currently, she is pursuing an MBA in Design Strategy at California College of the Arts (CCA), where she expects to graduate in May 2025.
Experience
As a product designer, she has collaborated with brands like Unilever, Spotify, Tribune, Air Asia, and Google X’s The Moonshot Factory. As a brand strategist, she built a biotech-based skincare brand from the ground up. As an educator, she designed and taught a semester-long studio class for junior and senior product design students at ISDI, Parsons Mumbai, and now mentors undergraduate and graduate students at CCA’s Learning Resource Center (LRC).

DMBA
Her superpower lies in adapting to every stage of the design thinking process, switching roles like a chameleon. Whether as a researcher, facilitator, designer, she balances big-picture vision with meticulous execution, driving meaningful change. Her enthusiasm and drive to learn make her a dependable leader and team player which is evident in her journey at DMBA, where she has been an event coordinator, Career Design Club co-lead, social media manager, and designer to rebrand the program—all while being a full-time student.
Thought process in a nutshell

Discovery:
Design isn’t just what she does—it’s how she lives. She sees the world as a canvas, constantly searching for cues that connect ideas, people, and emotions..
Document:
Like a true water sign, she learns from her senses and believes in leading with compassion. There are little things that speak to her. When they do, she zooms in, pauses, captures and make sense of things to create something new.

Inspiration:
Her best ideas bloom when she feels alive—often in nature. She borrows optimism from flowers, resilience from trees, and adaptability from the wild. And then, out of nowhere, the eureka moments arrive like an afternoon rain.
Discipline:
With physical, emotional, intellectual movement, she pours her thoughts on the yoga mat. Her mantra is to repeat, repeat, repeat...

"And the by product of that is the music in me, she writes."

When Ash isn’t designing, she’s dancing, singing, or writing music—because storytelling is woven into everything she does. And as she shapes her days, she wears a philosopher’s hat, always humming, "The rest is still unwritten."
